Privacy Policy

The software
Shoalcheck runs on your machine. Nothing about your cluster leaves it unless you send it, for example by pushing tickets to your own Jira or Linear. There is no account and no analytics. The only automatic outbound request is an update check to github.com (releases of Shoalcheck); it carries nothing about a cluster and can be switched off.

- Cluster fingerprints (a one-way hash of the kube-system UID) for Pro bindings
- Transaction IDs
Purpose: issue and email your licence key, bind it, handle support and refunds. Legal basis: contract. Retention: for as long as the licence is active, then up to six years for accounting and dispute records; support email for up to two years.
Processors
- Paddle (merchant of record): collects payment details and billing data under its own privacy policy; we never see card numbers.
- Cloudflare (D1 database, hosting of the sales Worker): stores the data above.
- Resend: sends the key email.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion and objection, as applicable under your law (e.g. GDPR). Contact: support@shoalcheck.com (privacy questions). Transfers outside your region: our processors (Paddle, Cloudflare, Resend, Google Workspace) transfer data under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
